Ottawa Senators vs Los Angeles Kings NHL Picks, Odds, Predictions 11/11/2021

The Los Angeles Kings and the Ottawa Senators meet in NHL action from the Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Kings come into this game looking to add to their 3-2 overtime win over Montreal in their last game. Anze Kopitar leads the Kigns with 15 points including 7 goals and 8 assists while Alex Iafallo has 13 points with 6 goals and 7 assists. Mikey Anderson’s posting a team-best +8 plus/minus rating on the year while Phillip Danault and Adrian Kempe each have 8 points. Jonathan Quick has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .924 save percentage while Cal Petersen is 4-2 with a 2.82 GAA and a .907 save percentage this season.

The Ottawa Senators will try to snap a five-game losing streak after a 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins in their last game. Drake Batherson leads the Sens with 12 points including a team-high 7 assists while Josh Norris has 9 points with a team-high 6 goals and 3 power play goals. Tyler Ennis and Connor Brown each have 7 points while Chris Tierney has 5 goals with 3 power play goals of his own and Thomas Chabot has a team-best +4 plus/minus rating as well this season. Matt Murray has an 0-4 record with a 3.10 GAA and an .897 save percentage in goal for Ottawa while Filip Gustavsson is 2-2-1 with a 3.20 GAA and a .911 save percentage and Anton Forsberg is 1-2 with a 4.80 GAA and an .885 save percentage this season.

Los Angeles is 10-1 in their last 11 games against the Eastern Conference and 6-0 in their last 6 games overall while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 games following a win. Ottawa is 0-5 in their last 5 home games and 2-6 in their last 8 Thursday games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

I think you could make the case for Ottawa being that they play better at home, but that’s about where it stops because not much is going right for the Senators right now otherwise. Meanwhile, the Kings have won six straight seemingly out of nowhere, and while you could suggest a letdown for some teams playing Ottawa on a hot streak, I think the Kings know they need to take advantage while they can. Give me Los Angeles in this one.
