The Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet in NHL action from PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday night.

The Boston Bruins will try to build on their current five-game win streak after a 4-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets in their last game. David Pastrnak has 16 points with team-highs of 7 goals and 9 assists while David Krejci has 8 points with 6 assists. Patrice Bergeron’s got 9 points split between 4 goals and 5 assists while Taylor Hall, Hampus Lindholm and Jake DeBrusk each have 7 points with Hall putting up 4 goals and 3 assists while Lindholm has 5 assists and DeBrusk has 3 goals and 4 helpers. Linus Ullmark’s gone 6-0 with a 1.70 GAA and a .945 save percentage while Jeremy Swayman’s gone 2-1 with a 3.76 GAA and an .872 save percentage this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to snap a four-game losing skid after their 3-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken last time out. Sidney Crosby has a team-high 11 points with 4 goals and a team-high 7 assists while Evgeni Malkin has 8 points split between 4 goals and 3 assists. Bryan Rust has also chipped in 7 points with 3 goals and 4 assists this season. Tristan Jarry has gone 4-2 with a 3.02 GAA and a .915 save percentage while Casey DeSmith is 0-2-1 with a 2.97 GAA and a .913 save percentage in goal for Pittsburgh this season.

Boston is 35-16 in their last 51 games overall and 2-6 in their last 8 road games while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. Pittsburgh is 196-96 in their last 292 home games and 0-4 in their last 4 games overall while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600.

I get the case for Pittsburgh being favored at home as you don’t really see the Penguins struggle liket hey are right now. That being said, the facts are what they are and Pittsburgh’s having issues getting out of this tailspin. The Bruins continue to play solid hockey and it looks like the Bruins have bought into their new coach and are really playing hard for him. We’re getting the team in much better form at the plus money here, so I’ll take my chances with Boston here.
