The San Jose Sharks will look to build off of their 2-1 overtime win over Winnipeg in their last game. Timo Meier leads the Sharks with 11 points including team-highs of 5 goals and 6 assists while Logan Couture has 9 points with 3 goals and 6 assists as well as a team-best +7 plus/minus rating. Erik Karlsson has 6 points with 2 goals and 4 assists with 4 power play points this season. Adin Hill has seen the bulk of the workload in goal for San Jose, going 3-2 with a 2.96 GAA and an .893 save percentage while James Reimer has gone 2-1 with a 1.13 GAA and a .964 save percentage this season.
Buffalo is 16-39 in their last 55 games overall and 22-71 in their last 93 road games while the under is 3-1-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. San Jose is 0-5 in their last 5 games as a home favorite and 8-17 in their last 25 games overall while the under is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games as a favorite.
I get the case that could be made either way here, but personally, I’m siding with the Sabres. I’m still holding a bit of a grudge with the Sharks after losing to Montreal a few nights ago and Buffalo has still been playing really good hockey over the first few weeks of the season. I said it before and I’ll say it again, you just have to keep riding the wave with Buffalo until it cools off so I’ll take a shot with Buffalo and the plus money here.
