Toronto Maple Leafs vs Pittsburgh Penguins 11/11/22 NHL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Toronto Maple Leafs meet in NHL action from Scotiabank Arena on Friday night.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to build on their 4-1 win over the Washington Capitals in their last game. Sidney Crosby has a team-high 15 points with 6 goals and 9 assists while Evgeni Malkin has 13 points split between 5 goals and 8 assists. Jake Guentzel has also chipped in 12 points with 7 goals and 5 assists this season. Tristan Jarry has gone 4-3-1 with a 3.38 GAA and a .903 save percentage while Casey DeSmith is 1-3-1 with a 2.89 GAA and a .913 save percentage in goal for Pittsburgh this season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will try to bounce back from a 4-3 OT loss to Vegas in their last game. Mitch Marner leads the Leafs with 16 points including a team-high 13 assists while John Tavares is right behind with 16 points including a team-high 8 goals. Austin Matthews has 14 points with 6 goals and 8 assists and William Nylander has 13 points with 5 goals and 8 assists this season. Ilya Samsonov’s 5-2 with a 2.30 GAA and a .920 save percentage in goal for Toronto so far this season.

Pittsburgh is 1-7 in their last 8 games overall and 5-16 in their last 21 road games while the over is 8-1 in their last 9 games following a win. Toronto is 21-5 in their last 26 games against the Metropolitan division and 38-14 in their last 52 home games while the under is 5-1-1 in their last 7 games against the Eastern Conference.

The bottom line for me in this game is that I can’t trust either side’s goaltending as far as I can throw it right now, and it doesn’t help the cause when these are the two offenses on the other side, laden with firepower and can easily rack up the goals in this game. I could easily see a 4-3 game at the very least so give me the over here.
