The Washington Capitals will be out to build on a 3-2 OT win over the Philadelphia Flyers in their last outing. Alex Ovechkin has a team-high 19 points with a team-high 10 goals and 9 assists. Dylan Strome also has 16 points with 11 assists while Evgeny Kuznetsov also has a team-high 13 assists as part of his 15 points up to this point in the year. Darcy Kuemper has gone 6-9-1 with a 2.77 GAA and an .908 save percentage while Charlie Lindgren is 2-1-2 with a 3.13 GAA and a .905 save percentage this season.
Calgary is 4-9 in their last 13 games overall and 4-11 in their last 15 road games while the over is 8-3-1 in their last 12 games against the Metropolitan division. Washington is 1-4 in their last 5 games overall and 0-4 in their last 4 games following a win while the over is 9-1 in their last 10 games against the Pacific division.
I get the case to be made either way in this game, but I’m sitting on the over here. I don’t trust either set of goaltenders as far as I can throw them right now and while the Caps are banged up, I think that hurts the defense more than it does the offense. I think this has 4-3 written all over it at the very least, so give me the over here.
