American boxer, Jarrell Miller, will be fighting against Polish fighter, Tomasz Adamek, in Chicago.
Jarrell Miller enters this fight unbeaten with a record of 21 wins and 1 draw which includes 18 wins via knockout. Miller is the current WBO-NABO heavyweight boxing champion and has been defending his belt since May 2016 when he won it by defeating Nick Guivas via knockout. The WBO-NABO heavyweight title will not be on the line in this fight since Adamek is not eligible to win it but that should not lower the importance of this fight since the winner will be in a great position to be able to challenge Anthony Joshua for his IBF heavyweight title. Miller. This will be the second fight for Jarrell Miller in 2018 with his other fight being against WBC silver heavyweight champion, Johann Duhaupas. Miller beat Duhaupas via decision in 12 rounds in a fight where Miller displayed great determination and endurance. That win would have given Miller lots of confidence heading forward as he silenced many doubters by proving he has enough endurance to beat a defensive fighter like Duhaupas. Miller will need to display similar levels of endurance in this fight since Tomasz Adamek is hard to knock out.
Tomasz Adamek is a very experienced boxer as this will be his 58th professional boxing fight. Adamek has a record of 53 wins and 5 losses. Only 31 of Adamek’s 53 wins have been via knockout which is very low for a heavyweight. This is because Adamek is a very good defensive fighter and he hugely relies on outlasting his opponents. That being said, this is going to be a tough fight for Adamek since he will be fighting a boxer who can both win via knockout and decision. Miller has established himself as a well-rounded boxer and he will make it very hard for Adamek to outlast him. Furthermore, the crowd will be against Tomasz Adamek since this fight is in Chicago and he is fighting an American boxer.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Jarrell Miller to win this fight. Miller is a much more powerful puncher who can match Adamek in endurance. I see Miller using his endurance and power along with the home crowd to beat Adamek and maintain his unbeaten record.
