The Ottawa Redblacks and Toronto Argonauts meet Monday in CFL action at BMO Field.
The Ottawa Redblacks look for another victory to build on their 1-3-1 start to the CFL season. The Ottawa Redblacks have lost four of their last six road games. Trevor Harris is completing 71.4 percent of his passes for 1,755 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. Harris has 26 touchdown passes in his last 16 games played. Greg Ellingson and Brad Sinopoli have combined for 999 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Diontae Spencer has 14 receptions. The Ottawa Redblacks ground game is averaging 78.2 yards per contest, and Mossis Madu leads the way with 125 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Ottawa is allowing 30.8 points and 413.2 yards per game. Nicholas Taylor leads the Ottawa Redblacks with 21 tackles, Arnaud Gascon-Nadon has two sacks and Jonathan Rose has five pass deflections.
The Toronto Argonauts look for a victory here to get a game above a .500 record. The Toronto Argonauts have lost six of their last eight home games. Ricky Ray is completing 67.1 percent of his passes for 1,529 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. Ray has 19 touchdown passes in his last 13 games played. S.J. Green and DeVier Posey have combined for 732 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Armanti Edwards has 21 receptions. The Toronto Argonauts ground game is averaging 37.8 yards per contest, and James Wilder leads the way with 66 yards and on 14 carries. Defensively, Toronto is allowing 25.2 points and 354.8 yards per game. Bear Woods leads the Toronto Argonauts with 27 tackles, Victor Butler has seven sacks and Cassius Vaughn has one interception.
The RedBlacks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games, 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Argonauts are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 home games, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games in July and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.
The Toronto Argonauts already beat the Redblacks this season, and they've actually won six of the last eight meetings overall. Also, the Argonauts will have had 11 days off while this is a major quick turnaround for an Ottawa team that played Wednesday night in a game against Montreal that came down to the wire and took a lot of emotion to win. It's going to be tough to get up for this game on the road against a rested decent ball club. I like the Argonauts and the small line at home.
