The Roughriders are heading into this game after taking care of the BC squad. The Roughriders ended up putting in a total of 27 points in the game, but the team only allowed the Lions to score 19 points. That was a good showing for the Roughriders and definitely one the club would like to build upon in this game here.
When it comes to the passing attack of the Roughriders in the last game they relied on Cody Fajardo who threw the ball for 224 yards and a touchdown on the day. William Powell ended up leading the Roughriders in the rushing attack with a total of 15 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown in the game.
Edmonton managed to get a week off in the past week. The game before that the Eskimos ended up controlling the BC Lions team and allowed them to get only 6 points in the game. Offensively in the game the Eskimos were able to score 19 points and that definitely helped the team out quite a bit in getting confidence going into their bye week.
In the game the Eskimos were able to see Logan Kilgore throw the ball for 194 yards in the win. However, Kilgore did end up throwing a pick in the game as well. Shaquille Cooper was the leading rusher for the Eskimos in the game as he carried the ball 18 times for 94 yards and a touchdown in the game.
The Eskimos have a good defense and were able to shut down the Lions in their game. The Roughriders played decent, but actually allowed the Lions to score more points than the Eskimos. That definitely leads to the Eskimos looking like they have a better defense and that will show up in this game as the Eskimos are able to contain Fajardo better than the Lions and help lock down the win. Final Score Prediction, Edmonton Eskimos win 24-13.
