The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts meet Thursday in CFL action at the BMO Field.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers look for a victory to build on their solid 5-1 start to the season. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have won two of their last three road games. Matt Nichols is completing 69.7 percent of his passes for 1,411 yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. Nichols has two or more touchdown passes in six of his last 11 games. Lucky Whitehead and Darvin Adams have combined for 551 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Andrew Harris has 31 receptions. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers ground game is averaging 133.5 yards per contest, and Harris leads the way with 494 yards on 80 carries. Defensively, Winnipeg is allowing 17.2 points and 320.7 yards per game. Chandler Fenner leads the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with 29 tackles, Jackson Jeffcoat has three sacks and Winston Rose has five interceptions.

The Toronto Argonauts need a victory toe bound from a brutal 0-6 start to the season. The Toronto Argonauts haven’t won a game since October of last year. James Franklin is completing 66.7 percent of his passes for 435 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Franklin and McLeod Bethel-Thompson have combined for 1,684 passing yards and eight touchdowns this season. Derel Walker and Armanti Edwards have combined for 836 receiving yards and five touchdowns while James Wilder Jr. has 26 receptions. The Toronto Argonauts ground game is averaging 56.3 yards per contest, and Wilder Jr. leads the way with 161 yards and on 38 carries. Defensively, Toronto is allowing 35.7 points and 451.8 yards per game. Abdul Kanneh leads the Toronto Argonauts with 27 tackles, Cleyon Laing has four sacks and Alden Darby has two interceptions.

The Blue Bombers are 22-9 ATS in their last 31 road games, 4-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Argonauts are 4-13 ATS in their last 17 games in August, 0-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Blue Bombers are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the over is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings. The under is 4-1 in Argonauts last 5 games overall. The under is 4-1 in Blue Bombers last 5 games overall.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be eager to bounce back after their loss to Hamilton, and they just beat Toronto by 27 points a couple of weeks ago. The Toronto Argonauts are just god awful, as they lose at home by an average of 25.5 points and are losing their last three games by an average of 21 points. The Argonauts just don't do anything well, and they're going up against a Blue Bombers squad that's currently the favorites to win the Grey Cup. I know this is a lot of points to eat, but it's got to be Winnipeg by default. I want no parts of Toronto.

Pick:
Winnipeg Blue Bombers -14
