The LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.

LSU is sitting at 23-5 this season. Since falling to Florida in OT on February 20, the Tigers have won their last two games versus Tennessee 82-80 on February 23 and Texas A&M 66-55 on Tuesday.

In the win over the Aggies, LSU’s lead scorer was Naz Reid on 18 points with 11 rebounds. Ja’Vonte Smart added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers there, and Kavell Bigby-Williams doubled up on 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Over on the Alabama side, they’re 17-11 this season. Since falling in succession to MS State, Florida and Texas A&M, the Tide have beaten Vanderbilt and South Carolina in their last two outings.

In the win over the Gamecocks, Alabama’s top player was Kira Lewis on 17 points, five rebounds and three assists. Donta’ Hall doubled up with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Tide there, and John Petty posted 10 rebounds.

LSU is 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight Saturday games. The Tigers are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 versus the SEC and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 overall.

Meanwhile, the Tide are 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. Alabama is 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the SEC and the under is 6-0 in their last six overall.

The Florida game was certainly a stumble for LSU (they lost the handle in overtime with an 18-13 deficit), but toppling Tennessee was a nice bounce-back and the team cruised against the Aggies.

The Tide have a couple of solid wins under their belt since their three-game losing streak, but realistically I don’t think the Tigers will have much difficulty here. I’m going LSU.
