The Ole Miss Rebels and the Alabama Crimson Tide meet in SEC college basketball action from the Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday night.

The Ole Miss Rebels will look to build on an 84-67 win over Arkansas in their last outing. Breein Tyree led the Rebels with 22 points on 7 of 15 shooting with 3 steals while Terence Davis flirted with a triple-double with 18 points along with team-highs of 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Bruce Stevens added 14 points on an efficient 6 of 7 shooting with a pair of threes while Dominik Olejniczak added 13 points to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Ole Miss in the win. Tyree leads the Rebels in scoring with an average of 17.5 points per game while Davis leads Ole Miss with averages of 6.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season. As a team, Ole Miss is averaging 79.4 points per game on 49.2% shooting from the field, 37.1% from behind the arc and 75.5% from the foul line this season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide come into this game looking to rebound after a narrow 71-68 loss to Tennessee in their last outing. John Petty led the Tide with 30 points on 11 of 18 shooting with 6 threes while Donta Hall added 16 points and a team-high 12 rebounds for the double-double and Kira Lewis Jr. added 12 points with 3 threes to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Alabama in the losing effort. Dazon Ingram also contributed a team-high 5 steals as well in the defeat. Lewis Jr. leads Alabama in scoring with 14.2 points per game while Hall leads the Tide on the glass with 9 rebounds per game and Ingram leads Alabama in assists with 2.9 assists per game this season. As a team, Alabama is averaging 76 points per game on 45% shooting from the field, 34.8% from behind the arc and 68.3% from the foul line this season.

Ole Miss is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games overall while the over is 10-4-1 in their last 15 games against a team with a winning record. Alabama is 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while the over is 11-5-1 in their last 17 games against a team with a winning record. Ole Miss is 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams.

The Rebels haven’t had a ton of luck in Tuscaloosa over the years, covering in just 5 of their last 17 trips to Alabama. However, this is the best I can remember the Rebels looking in quite some time. Alabama has played well at home recently, beating some tough opposition like Kentucky, Penn State and Arizona, while also hanging with Tennessee last time out. However the Tide are still having issues getting over the hump while the Rebels are 4-0 ATS and 3-1 SU on the road this season. With this line being so low, almost a pick ‘em, and with the way that the Rebels have been pretty much money ATS this season, I have to take the free point with what I feel is the better team, and that’s Ole Miss.

Ole Miss +1
