The Vermont Catamounts go on the road to oppose the Albany Great Danes in an America East tilt.
The Vermont Catamount have established themselves as the team to beat in the America East with a perfect 8-0 mark after throttling the UMBC Retrievers 81-53. Vermont broke open a competitive game with a 42-21 second half run behind a 65.9%-36% edge in marksmanship.
Drew Urquhart led the Catamounts attack with 18 points and eight boards on -10 from the floor. Vermont received 16 points each from Trae Bell-Haynes and Payton Henson with Henson posting eight rebounds while Ernie Duncan and Cam Ward combined for 17 points.
The Albany Great Danes have surging with wins in six of eight after upending the New Hampshire Wildcats 83-74. Albany turned to their offense in this one with a 52.1%-48.2% shooting edge and a 25-33 performance at the charity stripe.
The Great Danes rode the production of Joe Cremo who led all scorers with 31 points and six boards on 8-12 from the floor and 11-14 at the line while David Nichols added 18 points, five pulls and six assists on 6-12. Travis Charles gave Albany 14 points and Greg Stire chipped in with ten points.
