The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the Appalachian State Mountaineers will match up on the college basketball court Thursday.

Louisiana enters this one at 13-7 on the season overall. The Cajuns have won three of their last four games, falling to LA-Monroe and taking out GA Southern, South Alabama and Troy during that time.

In the win over the Trojans, Louisiana’s Marcus Stroman and Jakeenan Gant led the way on 21 points apiece. Stroman logged seven assists and five rebounds in that one for the Cajuns, and Gant doubled up on 10 rebounds and three assists.

Over on the Appalachian State side, they’re 6-14 this season. The Mountaineers had a four-game losing streak going versus TX-Arlington, Texas State, Coastal Carolina and AR State, but won their last outing versus Little Rock.

In the win over the Trojans, App State’s Ronshad Shabazz led the way with 21 points, five rebounds and three assists. Justin Forrest added 18 points and five assists in that one, while Bennett Holley logged 12 points and six rebounds.

The Cajuns are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 after a straight-up win and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five overall. Louisiana is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five versus the Sun Belt and 0-7 ATS in their last seven Thursday games.

Meanwhile, the Mountaineers are 20-42-1 ATS in their last 63 Thursday games and 8-22 ATS in their last 30 after a straight-up win. App State is 5-21 in their last 26 after an ATS win and the over is 5-0 in their last five Thursday games.

The Cajuns have shown some sparks at times this year, and the team has a lot of potential. That said, Louisiana does become flummoxed on defense here and there, as they’ve coughed up at least 89 points in each of their last three losses.

App State has some pretty good scorers on their roster as well, so this looks like a fairly solid matchup. I’m going to tentatively stick with Louisiana, but it’s probably one I’m staying away from realistically.

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns -1.5
