The Troy Trojans hit the road to face the Appalachian State Mountaineers in Thursday college basketball action.

Charles Norman topped the Troy offense with 15 points followed by Darian Adams with 13 points, two yanks and two assists.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers knocked off the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns 90-80 on Sunday for the season sweep.

Troy Trojans are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 vs. Sun Belt and  are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall and  are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.

Appalachian State Mountaineers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up win and  are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and  are 5-21 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS win.

Troy Trojans are 2-6-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings.

Appalachian State isn’t very good but face Troy without one of their best players. I’ll back the Mountaineers but the chalk is a bit much…

Pick:
Appalachian State -7

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
