The Buffaloes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss, however, are 20-44-1 ATS in their last 65 road games. The Sun Devils are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home, however, are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Colorado has lost 3 of their last 4 games and although they rank in the top-100 in both scoring offense & defense, it’s been a struggle on the road this season for the Buffaloes as they are just 2-3 on the road this season. Arizona State picked up a huge win of the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks before Christmas, however, it’s been a struggle since that victory after they have dropped back-to-back games at home to Princeton & Utah. Arizona State has an explosive offensive that ranks 59th in scoring offense, however, the defense has struggled as they currently rank just 238th in scoring defense.
Colorado got off to a nice start to their season, however, this is a team that isn’t as good as their 9-4 record might indicate and they continue to struggle to produce offense away from home, as in their last 4 games they are averaging just 63.3 ppg. Arizona State can be plagued by inconsistent play, however, they are the more athletic and talented team in this match-up and as I don’t trust Colorado on the road, I think Arizona State bounces back here and covers this mid-range home spread.
