Arizona State Sun Devils -4 O/U: 158
The UCLA Bruins and the Arizona State Sun Devils will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday in the Pac-12 Tournament.
UCLA stands at 17-15 on the season. The Bruins dropped two straight games heading into the tournament, but were able to take out Stanford 79-72 in the first round on Wednesday.
In the win over the Cardinal, UCLA’s Jaylen Hands led the team with his 22 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Chris Smith also added 14 points and one rebound for the Bruins in that victory.
Over on the Arizona State side, they’re 21-9 this season. The Sun Devils dropped to Oregon back on February 28, but since they’ve taken out both Oregon State and Arizona in their last pair of games.
In the win over the Wildcats, Arizona State’s Remy Martin led the charge on 27 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. Adding 13 points and six rebounds was Zylan Cheatham, and Luguentz Dort put up 15 points for the Devils there.
The Bruins are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 versus a team with a winning straight-up record and 1-5 ATS in their last six neutral site games. The over is 4-1 in the Bruins last five overall and 4-0 in their last four after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Devils are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight neutral-site games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win. Arizona State is 3-11 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games and the under is 5-0 in their last five overall.
Arizona State looked pretty limp against Oregon, and were outmatched 79-51 at the final horn. Since then the Sun Devils have played better, with 146 combined points over their last two games.
I’m not ready to say Arizona State will run away—or even definitely win—this one, but the Sun Devils are scoring well enough these days on a regular basis that I think they can bang out a cover.
