SWAC college basketball features the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions hosting the Prairie View A&M Panthers.

The Prairie View A&M Panthers remained unbeaten in the SWAC at 6-0 after beating MVSU 89-78 as a 7.5 point road favorite on Saturday.

Prairie View pulled away from a tie game at the halfway point on the strength of a 49-38 second half run behind 45% from the floor.

Gerard Andrus was the Panthers top weapon with 15 points and three yanks Gary Blackston adding 14 points and eleven rebounds.

Devontae Patterson gave Prairie View 13 points followed by Darius Williams who contributed another eleven points and four pulls.

The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions have dropped back to back contests following a 74-69 defeat at Alcorn State.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff defended well enough with the Braves sinking shots at 44.2% but their own 40% from the floor fell short.

Martaveous McKnight was the Golden Lions top gun with 29 points followed by Shaun Doss with 12 points, six boards and four helpers.

Marcus Wallace contributed another seven points while Terrance Banyard gave APBU five points, six boards and five assists.
