Arkansas State Red Wolves +3 O/U: 152
The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and the Arkansas State Red Wolves will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
LA-Monroe comes into this game with a 15-13 mark overall. The Warhawks are just 1-2 in their last three games, with a win over App State sandwiched between losses to TX-Arlington and Coastal Carolina.
In the loss to the Chanticleers, Louisiana-Monroe’s lead scorer was Daishon Smith with 29 points and six assists. Travis Munnings added 23 points and six boards for the Warhawks there and Tyree White chipped in 16 points.
Over on the Arkansas State side, they’re 12-17 this year. Following consecutive wins over TX-Arlington and Little Rock, the Wolves have lost their last pair to Georgia State and Georgia Southern.
In the loss to the Eagles, Arkansas State’s lead scorer was Ty Cockfield on 17 points, two rebounds and two assists. Also in double-figures for the Wolves there were Canberk Kus (15 points) and Salif Boudie (12 points; seven rebounds).
The Warhawks are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 Thursday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. LA-Monroe is 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Sun Belt and the under is 4-1 in their last five Thursday games.
Meanwhile, the Wolves are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 overall. Arkansas State is 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and 0-6 ATS in their last six Thursday games.
If there’s a silver lining to LA-Monroe’s 1-2 record over the last three games, it’s that they’ve been scoring well. In each of those, the Warhawks came up with 81 points or more—the drawback is that they gave up at least 91 in two of them.
Arkansas State has had some stumbles on the scoreboard lately, but they can put up points. I’m going to go with the Red Wolves on the home cover in what should be a high-flying game.
