Auburn Tigers -2.5 O/U: 134
The Florida Gators and the Auburn Tigers will match up on the college basketball circuit Saturday in the SEC Tournament.
The Gators are sitting at 19-14 overall this year. Florida lost three straight heading into the tournament, but since they’ve taken out both Arkansas and LSU to keep their hopes alive.
In the win over LSU, Florida’s top scorer was Andrew Nembhard with 20 points, six assists and four rebounds. Keyontae Johnson added a double-double for the Gators in that one with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
As for Auburn, they’re 24-9 this year and on a nice six-game win streak right now. The Tigers have so far taken out Missouri and South Carolina in the first two rounds of the tourney.
In the win over the Gamecocks, Auburn’s lead scorer was Jared Harper with 27 points, six assists and six rebounds. Bryce Brown also chipped in 19 points with two assists for the Tigers in that one.
The Gators are 4-0 ATS in their last four neutral-site games and 5-1 ATS in their last six versus a team with a winning straight-up record. Florida is 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and the under is 10-3 in their last 13 overall.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win. Auburn is 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the SEC and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 Saturday games.
Florida fell behind 35-25 after the first half of the LSU game, but stormed back on a 51-38 clip in the second to bag a 76-73 victory and move on in the tournament. It’s been a nice couple of games for the Gators after they were pretty ineffective in that three-outing stretch.
Over on the Auburn side, they’re on a great run right now and playing well. I’m going to stick with the Tigers to bang out a cover here.
