Auburn Tigers -14.5 O/U: 162.5
The Missouri Tigers and the Auburn Tigers will match up in college basketball action on Wednesday.
Missouri enters this one with a 10-8 record on the season. The Tigers have lost five of their last six games, taking out Texas A&M and falling to Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas and LSU in that stretch.
In the loss to LSU, Missouri’s Jordan Geist led the team on 25 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Jeremiah Tilmon added 15 points and six boards for Missouri in that one, and Javon Pickett registered 13 points.
Over on the Auburn side, they’re 13-6 this season overall. The Tigers have fallen in their last three straight games, dropping to Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi State in that span of outings.
In the loss to the Bulldogs, Auburn’s Bryce Brown led the way on 18 points, four rebounds and one assist. Chuma Okeke added 16 points and four rebounds for Auburn in that one, and Jared Harper put up 15 points with seven assists.
Missouri is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS loss. Missouri is also 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall.
Meanwhile, Auburn is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall. Auburn is also 2-8 ATS in their last 10 versus the SEC and 2-11 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS loss.
The first thing that immediately jumps out about this matchup is the HUGE O/U number. To put it in perspective along with the line, the oddsmakers are predicting a 90-something to 70-something affair. Those are big tallies, and considering Missouri has put up fewer than 67 points in three of their last four, it’s a bit much to digest.
Auburn has been scoring well and can probably hold up their end of the bargain, but the under seems an automatic pick simply on principle. In this Tiger vs. Tiger matchup, I have to stick with the home team for a big win. (It’s worth noting that neither team has been great ATS in most facets lately however, so keep that in mind.)
