The Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks and the Austin Peay Governors will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.

Tennessee-Martin enters this game with a 10-16 mark so far. Following a four-game win streak over JSU, TN Tech, SEMO and SIUE, the Skyhawks fell in their last outing to Murray State.

In the loss to the Racers, Tennessee-Martin’s top scorers were Craig Randall (19 points) and Quintin Dove (19 points; 13 rebounds). Preston Parks and DelFincko Bogan each chipped in 10 points for the Skyhawks as well.

Over on the Austin Peay side, they’re 20-8 this year. The Governors have won six of their last seven games, beating TN Tech, JSU, SIUE, Eastern Illinois, Morehead State and SEMO in that time.

In the win over the Redhawks, Austin Peay’s Chris Porter-Bunton led the team on 19 points with five rebounds and three assists. Jabari McGhee had a monster game for the Governors there with 18 points and 19 rebounds to his credit.

The Skyhawks are 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. TN-Martin is 8-0 ATS in their last eight versus the OVC and 8-0 ATS in their last eight overall.

Meanwhile, the Governors are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games. Austin Peay is 0-3-1 ATS in their last four overall and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four versus the OVC.

Even though the Skyhawks’ run of solid play came to an end versus the Racers (who are a very good team), Tennessee-Martin still put up a nice points total and they’ve scored at least 73 in each of their last four.

Still, Austin Peay’s been pretty impressive lately as well and they should put up a nice effort at home. I’m going with the Governors in what should be a fun and relatively close game.
