Baylor Bears -4 O/U: 141
The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Baylor Bears will meet up in college basketball action on Saturday.
Alabama enters this one at 12-6 on the year. The Tide are just 2-3 in their last five games, falling to LSU, Texas A&M and Tennessee but beating Missouri and Mississippi in that span.
In the win over the Rebels, Alabama’s lead scorer was John Petty with 15 points, one rebound and one assist. Donta’ Hall doubled up for the Tide in that one, bagging 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Over on the Baylor side, they’re 12-6 this season. Since the loss to Kansas, the Bears have won their last three straight versus Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
In the win over the Mountaineers, Baylor’s Makai Mason led the team with 29 points, four rebounds and four assists. Mario Kegler had a great game there for the Bears as well with his 18 points, seven rebounds and one assist.
The Tide are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 5-1 ATS in their last six following an ATS win. Alabama is 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 overall and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 versus the Big 12.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six following an ATS win. Baylor is 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 4-1 ATS in the last five home games.
Alabama’s surprise beatdown of Ole Miss was a real top-to-bottom effort, with lots of players contributing stats. The Tide had jumped out to a 42-26 lead by halftime and things only got better from there.
Baylor has some spring in their proverbial step right now as well, so this should be a pretty great matchup. All things considered though, I’m going to take the Bears to eke out a cover.
