The TCU Horned Frogs had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 15-5 (3-4 Big 12) on the season after being defeated by the 16th ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders, 84-65, this past Monday night. TCU was overmatched on both ends of the court and couldn’t fight back after the Horned Frogs went into halftime trailing by a 43-27 margin. TCU allowed Texas Tech to shoot 54.2% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Horned Frogs was Kevin Samuel who had a double-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and a steal.

The Baylor Bears won their 5th straight game and improved to 14-6 (5-2 Big 12) on the season after defeating the Oklahoma Sooners, 77-47, this past Monday. In what was the Bears most impressive win of the season, Baylor dominated Oklahoma on both ends of the court throughout the game and had no trouble picking up the win after taking a 46-26 lead early in the 2nd half. Baylor shot 54.4% from the field & 50.0% from beyond the arc while holding the Sooners to just 27.3% shooting from the field. Leading the way for the Bears was Jared Butler who had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.
On the season, Baylor is averaging 72.5 ppg on 44.7% shooting from the field. The Bears are averaging 7.5 three-pointers per game on 32.3% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Baylor has been led by Makai Mason (15.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.0 apg), Tristan Clark (14.3 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.0 spg, 2.3 bpg), King McClure (10.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.5 spg), and Mario Kegler (9.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg).

The Horned Frogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Bears are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.
TCU has lost 4 of their last 7 games, however, the Horned Frogs have been solid on both ends of the court this season as they currently rank 106th in scoring offense, 60th in FG%, and T-69th in scoring defense. Baylor has won 6 of their last 7 games and has been led by their defense which currently ranks 22nd in scoring defense, 56th in defensive FG%, and 23rd in rebound margin.
TCU has a solid team however, the Horned Frogs haven’t had much success on the road this season as they come into this game with a 1-4 road record. Baylor has been one of the more surprising teams in the Big 12 so far this season and as I think their defense is going to give TCU a bunch of trouble in this one, I think the Bears will keep their winning streak alive and do enough to cover this small home spread. Good Luck!
