The Washington Huskies open the season against the Baylor Bears.  This game will be played at a neutral site, as part of the Armed Forces Classic.  The Huskies went (27-9) last year and made the NCAA Tournament.  Baylor is ranked 16th and are (1-0) on the season after beating Central Arkansas,105-61.

The Huskies will be an interesting team to watch this year.  The Huskies have a lot of young talent and a Kentucky transfer in Quade Green.  The only returning starter is Hameir Wright, the Huskies lost basically all of their offensive production from last season.  Nahziah Carter is expected to take on a bigger role this year.  Carter reached double figures in both of the NCAA Tournament games.

In the win over Central Arkansas, Baylor was led by Jared Butler.  Butler scored a career high 30 points.  MaCio Teague also had a good game, securing a double-double.  Teague netted 18 points and 10 rebounds in the game.  Baylor shot a tremendous 54% from 3 point range.  The Bears where 18 of 33 from deep.  In total, the Bears dished out 25 assists compared to their 14 turnovers.  Naylor held Central Arkansas to 17% from 3 point range.

Recent Betting Trends:

Huskies are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games.

Huskies are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

The under is 6-2 in Huskies last 8 vs the Big 12.

Bears are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games.

The over is 5-1 in Bears last 6 neutral games.

Baylor was dominant in the win over Central Arkansas from start to finish.  The Bears are ranked 16th and return 3 starters from last year's group.  I was big on Washington's team last year, as they were senior led and had experience.  With the Huskies losing 5 players and 4 starters from last year's team, it will be interesting to see who steps up offensively.  The Huskies have 6 Freshman and 4 sophomores on the team, the Huskies don't have much experience.  Until the Huskies prove they have enough weapons to compete with the ranked teams, I can't side with Washington.  Final score prediction, Baylor wins and covers, 72-63.
