The Boise State Broncos will look for a win to snap a 3-game losing streak after losing 5 of their last 6 games after a 78-71 overtime loss to Utah State last time out. Derrick Alston led the Broncos with 22 points on 7 of 16 shooting with 4 threes while Justinian Jessup came right behind with 21 points on 8 of 14 shooting with 4 threes of his own. Alex Hobbs added 13 points with 10 rebounds for the double-double to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Boise State in the losing effort. Colorado State is 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 road games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall. Boise State is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 home games. The underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.
I definitely understand Boise State being favored at home, but I wouldn’t have had the Broncos favored by more than a bucket, even at home. Colorado State has been solid on the road and have been doing a good job beating up on lesser teams that they should beat or at least cover against, while the same can’t be said for Boise State as of late. I just don’t see anyone on Boise State that can bang on the boards inside with the likes of Carvacho, so I’ll take Colorado State and the points in this one.
