The Boise State Broncos will look to rebound from back-to-back losses and defeats in 4 of their last 5 games after a 71-65 loss to San Diego State last time out. Justinian Jessup led the Broncos with 19 points on 8 of 15 shooting with 3 threes and a team-high 6 rebounds while Derrick Alson added 12 points as the only other scorer in double figures for Boise State in the loss. Utah State is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games against a team with a winning home record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win. Boise State is 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. Utah State is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams and 7-0 ATS in the last 7 meetings at Boise State.
Getting points with a home dog is tempting considering that the Aggies haven’t been the strongest team ATS on the road as of late. However, Utah State is playing much better basketball than Boise State as of late, and have flat out owned the Broncos in recent years both overall and at the Taco Bell Arena. If the line was thicker I’d consider the points, but given that we only have to lay a bucket here, I’ll do just that and side with Utah State in this one.
