|Date & Time||Sunday December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Boston College Eagles -13.5 -- Over/Under: 153
The Fairfield Stags and the Boston College Eagles will meet up on the college basketball court Sunday.
Fairfield limps into this one at 2-8 on the season. The Stags’ losses this year have come courtesy of Purdue, LIU Brooklyn, Wagner, Longwood, Seattle, Army, Oakland and Old Dominion.
In the Monarchs matchup, Fairfield’s Landon Taliaferro led the scoring on 18 points, two assists and two rebounds. Jonathan Kasibabu was the only other Stag in double-figures with 13 points and 15 rebounds alongside two assists for a double-double.
Over on the Boston College side, they’re 7-2 this season. The Eagles’ wins have come against the likes of Milwaukee, St. Francis BK, Wyoming, Loyola, Minnesota, Sacred Heart and Columbia this year.
In the Lions game, Boston College’s Ky Bowman and Nik Popovic each recorded double-doubles; Bowman managed 24 points with 10 rebounds and five assists, while Popovic had 22 points and 14 boards.
The Stags are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and 6-15 ATS in their last 21 road games. Fairfield is 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last six Sunday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the MAA. Boston College is 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win and 1-4 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss.
Aside from a pretty good 86-point effort against Oakland, the Stags haven’t scored too well across their last trio, posting just 129 points in the other two games. All three were losses.
Boston College, comparatively speaking, is much more reliable on the scoreboard, and I don’t think they’ll have a whole lot of trouble here. I’m going Eagles.
