The Florida State Seminoles and Boston College Eagles meet Sunday in college basketball action at the Silvio Conte Forum.
The Florida State Seminoles could use a win here after losing three of their last four games. The Florida State Seminoles are averaging 77.5 points on 45 percent shooting and allowing 68.9 points on 42 percent shooting. Mfiondu Kabengele is averaging 11.8 points and five rebounds while Terance Mann is averaging 11.5 points and 1.9 assists. Trent Forrest is the third double-digit scorer and M.J. Walker is dishing 1.9 assists. The Florida State Seminoles are shooting 31.3 percent from beyond the arc and 73.8 percent from the free throw line. The Florida State Seminoles are allowing 33.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.2 rebounds per game. The Florida State Seminoles have lost two of their last three road games.
The Boston College Eagles could also use a win to snap a five-game losing streak. The Boston College Eagles are averaging 74.1 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowing 72.4 points on 40.9 percent shooting. Ky Bowman is averaging 19.9 points and 8.3 rebounds while Wynston Tabbs is averaging 14.1 points and 2.7 assists. Nik Popovic is the third double-digit scorer and Jordan Chatman is grabbing 2.2 rebounds. The Boston College Eagles are shooting 30.3 percent from beyond the arc and 70.1 percent from the free throw line. The Boston College Eagles are allowing 31.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.5 rebounds per game. The Boston College Eagles have split their last eight home games.
The Seminoles are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 vs. Atlantic Coast, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Eagles are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Atlantic Coast, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Sunday games and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games. The Seminoles are 5-1-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the favorite is 5-1-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The over is 4-1 in Eagles last 5 overall. The under is 3-0-1 in Seminoles last 4 overall.
The Florida State Seminoles should be fine when you consider two of their three losses in their last four games came against national title contenders in Duke and Virginia. We can't say the same for the Boston College Eagles, who have serious offensive issues and are shooting just 41.9 percent from the field while losing by an average of 10.4 points during their five-game losing streak. The home team has won eight of the last 10 meetings between FSU and Boston College, but it's hard to trust the Eagles in their current form. The Boston College Eagles are one of the worst teams in the ACC and not a club I'm looking to get behind at the moment.
