Boston College Eagles -3 O/U: 142
The Pittsburgh Panthers and the Boston College Eagles will meet up on the college basketball circuit Tuesday.
Pittsburgh enters this one with a 12-12 mark on the year so far. The Panthers are currently riding a seven-game losing streak, dropping to Syracuse, Duke, Louisville, Clemson, Syracuse, Wake Forest and NC State in that time.
In the loss to the Wolfpack, Pittsburgh guard Xavier Johnson led the team on 17 points, five rebounds and two assists. Jared Wilson-Frame added 16 points with five rebounds in 37 minutes of action for the Panthers there.
Over on the Boston College side, they’re .500 as well with an 11-11 record. The Eagles have lost their last four consecutive outings, dropping to Syracuse, Notre Dame, Duke and Syracuse again.
In the latest loss to the Orange, Boston College’s Ky Bowman led the team on 21 points with seven rebounds and two assists. Jordan Chatman gave the Eagles 12 points there, and Nik Popovic had 10 points with five rebounds.
The Panthers are 9-23 ATS in their last 32 Tuesday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games. Pittsburgh is 0-7 ATS in their last seven overall and 0-7 ATS in the last seven versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games and 0-4 ATS in their last four overall. Boston College is 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the ACC and the over is 26-9 in their last 35 home games.
Well, things haven’t been great in Pittsburgh for a while, but the good news is that the team has put up a couple of solid scoring outings lately (76 in each of their last two).
The Panthers will see an Eagles team that’s failed to crack 61 points in three of their last five games, but has put up at least 71 points in three straight home games. There’s not a whole lot to like here on either side, but I’m going to stick with the Eagles on the home lift.
