Boston College Eagles +12.5 O/U: 129.5
The Virginia Cavaliers and the Boston College Eagles will meet up in college basketball action on Wednesday.
Virginia comes into this one at a cool 13-0 so far. Over their last five games, Virginia has taken out VCU, South Carolina, William & Mary, Marshall and Florida State in succession.
In the win over the Seminoles, Virginia’s Kyle Guy led the team with 21 points, three assists and five rebounds. Braxton Key also had a nice line for the Cavs with 20 points and six rebounds in that one.
Over on the Boston College side, they’re 9-4 this season. Following a three-game winning streak over Columbia, Fairfield and DePaul, the Eagles lost their last two outings versus Hartford and Virginia Tech.
In the loss to the Hokies, Boston College’s Jordan Chatman put up 18 points with two assists and one rebound to lead the team. Ky Bowman added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Eagles as well in that one.
The Cavaliers are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six following an ATS win. Virginia is 14-3 ATS in their last 17 road games and 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 5-2 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the ACC. Boston College is 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five home games.
There’s really not a whole lot to complain about when it comes to Virginia these days. Sure, they’ve played some relative cupcake teams so far, but also have put up key wins over some pretty good squads in Wisconsin, Maryland and FSU.
Boston College isn’t necessarily on that level quite yet, but they do have a pretty decent offense. I’m going to trust the Eagles to keep things reasonable here.
