Bowling Green, Ohio
Bowling Green Falcons -1 O/U: 151.5
The Ball State Cardinals and the Bowling Green Falcons will meet up in college basketball activity on Tuesday.
Ball State is currently sitting on a 10-6 record. Ball State had a nice four-game win streak going, but they’ve since lost their last pair of games consecutively to Eastern Michigan and Ohio.
In the loss to the Bobcats, Ball State’s Tayler Persons led the team on 16 points, two assists and two rebounds. Trey Moses hauled in 13 boards, while KJ Walton and Zach Gunn each posted 10 points for the Cards.
Over on the Bowling Green side, they’re 11-5 this year. The Falcons have recorded wins in their last seven straight games against Green Bay, Findlay, WCU, TN-Martin, Kent State, Ohio and Central Michigan.
In the win over the Chippewas, Bowling Green’s top scorer was Justin Turner, with 30 points, six assists and two rebounds. Michael Laster added 18 points and six boards for the Falcons, while Demajeo Wiggins managed 16 rebounds and eight points.
The Cardinals are 5-1 ATS in the last six road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight following an ATS loss. Ball State is 2-10 ATS in the last 12 following a straight-up loss and 1-7 ATS in their last eight versus the MAC.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win. Bowling Green is 6-0 ATS in their last six overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the MAC.
Ball State got drilled in the first half against Ohio 39-18, which is unacceptable at home against a team you should beat. Those two straight losses are a troubling sign for the Cardinals, and they need to figure things out quick.
This probably isn’t the place the Cardinals will make any headway however, as Bowling Green is on a nice roll and taking out all comers these days. I’m going to stick with the Falcons on the cover here.
