The Ball State Cardinals battle the Bowling Green Falcons in the quarterfinals of the MAC college basketball tournament.

The Ball State Cardinals rode their defense to a 61-43 victory against the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Monday to advance to the MAC quarterfinals.

Tahjai topped the Cardinals attack with 15 points and six boards followed by Tayler Persons with 12 points, six rebounds and five helpers.

Ishmael El-Amin gave Ball State another 12 points while KJ Walton, Trey Moses and Kyle Mallers combined for 20 points and 20 rebounds.

The Bowling Green Falcons stumbled to the finish line with losses in four of five capped off by an 84-73 loss at the Buffalo Bulls.

The Falcons saw 17 points and four pulls from Justin Turner with Antwon Lillard tossing in 12 points and snagging three boards.

Bowling Green received ten points, three yanks and four assists from Michael Laster followed by Daeqwon Plowden with nine points and six boards.

Ball State Cardinals are 9-26 ATS in their last 35 vs. Mid-American and  are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win and  are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

BGSU Falcons are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games and  are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and  are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. Mid-American.

Ball State Cardinals are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings and underdog is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

I don’t know what happened to Bowling Green in the final weeks of the season so I’m inclined to leave this one alone…
