MAC college basketball rivals the Eastern Michigan Eagles and BGSU Falcons faceoff on Saturday.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles didn’t stand out in the early stages of the conference schedule but the team has been playing well of late with wins in three of four after a 71-67 win at Kent State with a 48.3%-42.1% shooting edge was decisive.
Paul Jackson topped the Eagles attack with 17 points and eight helpers followed by Elijah Minnie with 15 points and six pulls. James Thompson IV gave EMU 12 points and eight rebounds while Ty Groce and Jordan Nobles combined for 21 points.
The Bowling Green Falcons will be looking to get back in the win column after a 59-56 at Ball State prevented a three game winning streak. Bowling Green never found the shooting touch at 35.% which made the Cardinals 41.5% effort a winner.
Antwon Lilliard was the Falcons top offensive option with 15 points and ten rebounds on 6-12 from the floor. Dylan Frye gave Bowling Green 14 points on 5-14 accuracy while Justin Turner added nine points and five pulls on 4-14 from the field.
Under is 10-3-1 in Eastern Michigan last 14 vs. Mid-American and under is 9-3 in Eastern Michigan last 12 overall and Eastern Michigan are 8-19 ATS in their last 27 vs. Mid-American. BGSU are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and BGSU are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. Mid-American and BGSU are 10-21 ATS in their last 31 home games.
We could debate which squad is better until the cows come home but I think it’s Eastern Michigan…
