Bowling Green, Ohio
Bowling Green Falcons -5.5
The Kent State Golden Flashes and the Bowling Green Falcons will meet up on the college basketball court Friday.
Kent State is currently sitting at 20-8 on the year. After suffering consecutive losses to Central Michigan and Buffalo, the Golden Flashes won their last outing on Tuesday versus Ohio.
In the win over the Bobcats, Kent State’s top scorer was Jaylin Walker on 23 points with six rebounds and three assists. Also in double-figures for the Flashes were Antonio Williams (15 points; six rebounds) and Akiean Frederick (10 points; nine rebounds).
Over on the Bowling Green side, they’re 19-9 this season. After a three-game win streak, the Falcons have lost their last two consecutive outings versus Ohio and Miami OH.
In the loss to the RedHawks, Bowling Green’s Justin Turner put up 14 points, and Demajeo Wiggins doubled up on 14 points with 11 rebounds. Dylan Frye was also in double-figures for the Falcons on 13 points there.
Kent State is 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the MAC. The Flashes are 1-4 ATS in the last five after a straight-up win and 0-4 ATS in their last four Friday games.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six versus the MAC. Bowling Green is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Friday games and 0-3-1 ATS in the last four home games.
Kent State had some stumbles in February, namely a 72-53 loss to Akron, an 84-74 loss to Central Michigan and the 80-57 Buffalo game. The Flashes have some work to do here as well, since they lost to Bowling Green 86-64 at home the last time these teams met up.
The Falcons are a good team, but that 22-point win was probably an aberration under these circumstances. I’m going to go with the Flashes to get some revenge and cover here.
