The Illinois State Redbirds visit the Bradley Braves in MVC college basketball action.

The Illinois State Redbirds have won four of five after defeating Evansville 78-70 as a one point road dog on Saturday afternoon.

Illinois State was ahead by five points at the intermission and maintained the lead behind 51.9% marksmanship and a 10-19 effort on threes.

Milik Yarbrough carried the Redbirds pouring in 27 points and grabbing eight rebounds with Matt Chastin adding 13 points and four yanks.

Keyshawn Evans and William Tinsley gave ISU nine points apiece with five helpers and seven boards followed by Phil Fayne and Zach Copeland with eight points each.

The Bradley Braves are looking for back to back wins after downing Southern Illinois 57-54 to put an end to a five game slide.

Bradley trailed by six after 20 minutes before rallying with a 37-28 second half run despite getting outshot 39.2%-35.2% with a few more threes and free throws.

Darrell Brown led the Braves upset with 16 points and three assists with Elijah Childs adding 12 points and seven boards.

Bradley received eleven points and three yanks from Nate Kennell followed by Koch Bar with nine points and six rebounds.

Illinois State Redbirds are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 vs. Missouri Valley and  are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games and  are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. Bradley Braves are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and  are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 vs. Missouri Valley and  are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 home games. Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and Illinois State are 8-19 ATS in the last 27 meetings.

Illinois State appears to be the better team but they can’t beat anybody by more then a few points so take this for what it’s worth…
