NCAA BB | Cornell Big Red (8-11) at Brown Bears (10-9)

Ivy League college basketball features a matchup between the Brown Bears and Cornell Big Red.

The Cornell Big Red need a hot streak and missed out on a third straight win following a 76-73 loss to the Harvard Crimson as a 3.5 point home dog. Harvard held a slight 47.2%-45.8% shooting edge but Cornell was right on their tail thanks to six more looks and a few more baskets.

Stone Gettings carried the Big Red offense as he led all scorers with 32 points and ten rebounds on 11-22 from the floor including 6-12 from long range and 4-5 at the stripe. Matt Morgan gave Cornell 16 points and six assists on 6-15 shooting while Josh Warren chipped in with eight points on 3-6 from the field.

The Brown Bears have lost a number of close contests but reversed that trend for a day in a 102-100, overtime victory at the Princeton Tigers as an eleven point underdog. Brown rode 57.9% marksmanship and a 13-21 performance from beyond the arc to the win although ten missed free throws nearly cost the team.

Desmond Cambridge saved the Bears as he poured in a contest high 32 points and hauled in nine rebounds on 10-16 from the floor including 7-9 on threes followed by Brandon Anderson with 25 points on 6-12 accuracy and 12-13 at the line. Obi Okolie gave Brown 15 points and seven boards while Zach Hunsaker tossed in eleven points.

Under is 7-2 in Cornell last 9 Friday games and over is 8-3 in Cornell last 11 overall. Over is 22-9 in Brown last 31 Friday games and Brown are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and over is 37-17 in Brown last 54 vs. Ivy League.

Brown is the better team but Cornell has the ability to make this competitive so give me the points…

Cornell +6

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
