Bucknell Bison -12 O/U: 150
The Lafayette Leopards and the Bucknell Bison will match up on the college basketball circuit Sunday.
Lafayette enters play here with a 10-16 mark on the season. The Leopards have won their last five straight games, taking out Boston U, Holy Cross, Navy, Loyola MD and American in that time.
In the win over the Eagles, Lafayette’s Paulius Zalys led the team with 19 points, two rebounds and one assist. Justin Jaworski added 13 points and five assists in that one for the Leopards, and Alex Petrie had 14 points with five boards.
Over on the Bison side, they’re 17-10 this year. Following a nice five-game win streak, Bucknell has lost their last two outings versus Holy Cross last Saturday 72-71 and Colgate 75-64 on Tuesday.
In the loss to the Raiders, Bucknell’s Avi Toomer put up 16 points with two assists and one rebound to lead the team, and Kimbal Mackenzie added 13 points with two assists and one rebound there for the Bison as well.
The Leopards are 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS win and 6-0 ATS in their last six road games. Lafayette is 5-0 ATS in their last five overall and 5-0 ATS in the last five versus the Patriot League.
Meanwhile, the Bison are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games versus a team with a losing road record and 5-2 ATS in the last seven versus a team with a winning percentage below .400. The over is 5-1 in the Bison’s last six overall and 5-1 in their last six versus the Patriot League.
The Leopards are on a nice run over their last five games, and though they’ve had a couple close calls in there they’ve also hit at least 69 points in each of the last quintet.
As for Bucknell, they had a down game versus Colgate but I think they’ll bounce back here. I’m going with the Bison.
