Buffalo Bulls -16
The Kent State Golden Flashes and the Buffalo Bulls will meet up on the college basketball court Friday.
Kent State comes into this one at 19-7 on the year. The Flashes are 2-2 in their last four games, taking out Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan while falling to Akron and Central Michigan.
In the loss to the Chippewas, Kent State’s Philip Whittington led the way on 18 points and five rebounds. Also in double-figures for Kent State there were Jaylin Walker (14 points; seven rebounds) and Antonio Williams (13 points).
Over on the Buffalo side, they’re 23-3 this year. The Bulls have bagged wins over each of their last four, taking out Central Michigan, Akron, Toledo and Ohio during that stretch of outings.
In the win over the Bobcats, Buffalo’s top scorer was Jayvon Graves, with 26 points and four rebounds. CJ Massinburg added 23 points for the Bulls there, and Jeenathan Williams managed 13 points with eight boards.
The Golden Flashes are 6-0 ATS in their last six after a straight-up loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss. Kent State is 2-7-2 ATS in their last 11 Friday games and the under is 4-1 in the last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 10-4 ATS in the last 14 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. Buffalo is 18-8-1 ATS in their last 27 after a straight-up win and 36-16-4 ATS in their last 56 following an ATS win.
Kent State has had some bumps in the proverbial road lately, getting diced by Akron 72-53 and falling 84-74 to Central Michigan, two teams they probably shouldn’t have even lost to.
The Flashes managed to fall at home by an 88-79 score the last time they met up with Buffalo, and with the Bulls on familiar ground I don’t have any issue going with them this time. I’ll take Buffalo on the cover.
