Thursday college basketball action pits the Saint Mary’s Gaels against the BYU Cougars.

The Saint Mary’s Gaels have been at the top of their game with wins in a row after downing San Diego 76-59 on Saturday as a 9.5 point home favorite.

Saint Mary’s jumped to a 12 point halftime advantage with 43.5% marksmanship with eight more shots and a 17-8 edge at the line.

The  Gaels  saw Malik  Fitts  pour in  24  points with  four  pulls followed  by  Jordan Ford  with  21 points  and  three  yanks.

Jordan Hunter gave Saint Mary’s ten points and six boards followed by Tanner Krebs and Matthias Tass with a combined 17 points and 20 rebounds.

The Brigham Young Cougars look to get back in the win column after an 82-63 loss to San Francisco on Saturday as a 6.5 point road dog.

Brigham Young was looking at a 14 point deficit after 20 minutes and never challenged with the Dons burning the nets at 63.6%.

Yoeli Childs was the Cougars top offensive weapon with 25 points and four pulls followed by TJ Haws with another 12 points. 

McKay Cannon gave Brigham Young nine points while the twosome of Zac Seljaas and Connor Harding with five points each with Zeljaas posting seven rebounds.

Saint Mary’s Gaels are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and  are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. West Coast. BYU Cougars are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. West Coast and  are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall. Saint Mary’s Gaels are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings and under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.

Saint Mary’s is supposed to be taking a step back but have been doing well so do they have a season sweep of BYU in their future…
