The Portland Pilots have a chance at back to back wins after downing visiting Florida A&M 54-39 as eleven point favorites. Portland led 29-18 after 20 minutes and were never challenged with a 36.5%-29.4% shooting advantage and a 10-25 performance from beyond the arc doing enough damage.
Josh McSwiggan led a balanced Pilots offense with 16 points and seven boards on 6-9 from the floor including four bombs followed by a 13 point, three pull effort by Marcus Shaver Jr.. JoJo Walker gave Portland 12 points and six boards while Franklin Porter added seven points and eleven rebounds.
The struggling Cal State Fullerton Titans have dropped six of seven following an 86-62 defeat at Nebraska as a 20 point underdog. Cal State Fullerton trailed by eleven at the halfway point and lost control of the game early in the second half with the Cornhuskers holding a 44.1%-37.9% shooting edge along with a 24-8 advantage at the stripe.
Kyle Allman Jr. topped the Titans with 16 points on 7-17 from the floor while Austen Awosika added 13 points and nine rebounds on 5-10 accuracy. Cal State Fullerton received 12 points from Khalil Ahmad on 5-13 shooting while Wayne Arnold chipped in with eight points on 3-6.
