Arizona State at California
|Date & Time||Wednesday January 9, 2019, 9:00 PM (EST)|
California Golden Bears +9.5 O/U: 155
The Arizona State Sun Devils and the California Golden Bears will match up on the college basketball court Wednesday.
Arizona State rolls into this one at 10-4 on the year. The Sun Devils had lost three of four games versus Vanderbilt, Princeton and Utah, but they won their last outing versus Colorado on Saturday.
In the win over the Buffaloes, Arizona State’s Romeo White led the way on 19 points with eight rebounds, and Luguentz Dort had a nice line there with 14 points, four rebounds and two assists. Zylan Cheatham and De’Quon Lake each posted 12 points and seven rebounds for the Devils as well.
Over on the California side, they’re 5-9 this season. The Golden Bears have lost four of their last five outings, beating San Jose State while falling to Fresno State, Seattle, USC and UCLA during that span.
In the loss to the Bruins, California’s top scorer was Darius McNeill with 23 points and one rebound. Justice Sueing added 18 points with nine rebounds, and Matt Bradley tallied 15 points, five assists and three rebounds.
The Sun Devils are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight games overall and 5-15-2 ATS in their last 22 versus the Pac-12. Arizona is 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 0-3-1 ATS in the last four after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 15-34-2 ATS in the last 51 Wednesday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. Cal is 2-5 ATS in the last seven versus the Pac-12 and 1-5 ATS in the last six overall.
Arizona State is a real enigma right now. Lately they haven’t looked all that great with their 3-4 mark over their last seven, but that big win over Kansas sticks out like the proverbial sore thumb.
California is in a funk of their own, but the good news on them is that their offense has stayed consistent pretty much the whole time during this down stretch.
I’m going to stick with the Golden Bears to pull off a cover here.
