NCAA BB | Stanford Cardinal (13-13) at California Golden Bears (8-18)

The Stanford Cardinal go on the road to take the floor with the Cal Golden Bears in Sunday college basketball action.

The Stanford Cardinal have followed a two game winning streak with back to back defeats where the offense stalled. Stanford comes off of a 64-56 loss at Colorado where a 20 point first half set the tone. Both teams sank shots in the 36%-37% range with Colorado totaling six more shots.

Dorian Pickens paced the Stanford attack with 18 points on 5-15 including 4-9 from long range and 4-4 at the line. Daejon Davis gave the Cardinal 12 points and four pulls on 5-16 while Reid Travis added ten points and six rebounds on 4-10.

The Cal Golden Bears have been struggling to get both ends of the floor on the same page and that trend continued in a 77-43 loss at Utah as a 13 point road dog. Cal never found their offense and the defense didn’t help with the team getting outshot 54.9%-30.2%.

The Golden Bears were limited at the offensive end with only on player scoring in double figures. Darius McNeill led Cal with ten points and six rebounds on 4-14 from the floor including 2-9 from distance. Justin Sueing gave the Golden Bears eight points while Don Coleman and Juhwan Harris-Dyson.

Under is 13-3-2 in Stanford last 18 Sunday games and Stanford are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall and Stanford are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 vs. Pacific-12. Under is 9-1 in Cal last 10 overall and under is 9-1 in Cal last 10 vs. Pacific-12 and Cal are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games.

Both teams have numbers that favor them but Stanford has a few more of those numbers…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
