Siena led by a 33-21 margin and had no trouble securing the victory after taking a 61-48 lead with 4:36 left in regulation. Siena shot 45.5% from beyond the arc and won the turnover battle by a 15-4 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Saints was Jalen Pickett who had 11 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal.

Offensively, Siena has been led by Evan Fisher (15.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.6 apg), Jalen Pickett (15.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 6.6 apg, 2.1 spg), Kevin Degnan (8.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.2 spg), and Manny Camper (6.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.3 apg).

The Canisius Golden Griffins lost their 2nd consecutive game and dropped to 13-16 (10-7 MAAC) on the season after being defeated by the Niagara Purple Eagles, 86-84, this past Wednesday night. Canisius fought back from an 82-73 deficit with just 2:17 left in regulation to tie the game at 82-all late, however Niagara was able to hand on for the victory after they took the lead for good on a Dominic Robb jumper with :18 seconds left in regulation. Canisius allowed Niagara to shoot 51.9% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Golden Griffins was Takal Molson who had 28 points and 9 rebounds.

Defensively, Canisius is allowing their opponents to average 74.6 ppg on 47.2% shooting from the field. The Golden Griffins have a rebound margin of -4.1 and a turnover margin of 1.4.

The Saints are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record, however, are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games following three or more consecutive home games. The Golden Griffins are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Friday games, however, just 3-12 ATS in their last 15 home games.

Siena has won 6 of their last 8 games and although their offense can struggle to put up points as they rank just 337th in scoring offense, the Saints have been decent defensively as they come into this match-up ranked 36th in scoring defense and 88th turnover margin.

Canisius has won 4 of their last 7 games and currently rank 244th in scoring offense, 246th in FG%, and 257th in scoring defense.

Siena has been playing some of their best basketball of the season since the start of February as their defense continues to be solid and the Saints have started to get some great production from freshman, Jalen Pickett. Canisius has been solid in MAAC play, however, the Golden Griffins have been anything outstanding on either end of the court this season and has actually struggled at home, posting just a 4-8 record. Siena is playing the better basketball and in my opinion is the better team and as the Saints have a winning road record this season, I’m taking Siena and the points in this one. Good Luck!
