Coming up on Wednesday from CFE Arena, the South Florida Bulls and the UCF Knights will be meeting up on the college basketball court.
The Bulls come into this game with an 8-18 record so far. South Florida has lost their last five straight games, falling to Temple on Saturday. In that one, Bulls forward Isaiah Manderson led the team on 18 points.
Tops in scoring for South Florida this year is Stephan Jiggetts with 12.4 PPG and 3.2 APG. The only other South Florida player in double-figures is Payton Banks, with 12.1 PPG and 3.6 RPG to his name.
Over on the UCF side, they’re sitting at 15-9 this season. The Knights had lost five of seven games, but took a win in Memphis on Sunday. In that game, UCF guard BJ Taylor managed 22 points.
Taylor is the top scorer on the UCF roster this year with 14.0 PPG in eight games, and Tacko Fall has 11.3 PPG and 7.3 RPG (but is out for the year with an injury). Also in double-figures for the Knights is AJ Davis with 10.7 PPG and 8.0 RPG.
The Bulls are 2-5 ATS in the last seven road games and 9-23-1 ATS in their last 33 Wednesday games. USF is also 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Knights are 7-1 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 home games. UCF is also 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win and 2-6 ATS in their last eight overall.
It’s been a rough run for South Florida lately; they’ve lost 12 of their last 13 games after starting out the year at 7-6. In the last five games, the Bulls have scored more than 55 points just twice. UCF has had their own scoring difficulties lately, but it’s hard to imagine they’ll have much trouble here. I’ll take the Knights.
