As a team, Bowling Green is averaging 78.5 points per game on 45.4% shooting from the field, 34.7% from behind the 3-point line and 63.5% from the foul line this season.
The Central Michigan Chippewas will look to build on their 7-game winning streak after picking up an 88-86 overtime win over Akron last time out. Bowling Green is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 conference games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 games following a win. Central Michigan is 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 home games against a team with a road winning percentage below .400 while the over is 46-22-2 in their last 70 games overall. Bowling Green is 8-17 ATS in the last 25 meetings between these two teams and 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings between these two teams at Central Michigan.
This game pits two of the hottest teams in the MAC against each other so I can understand why this line is as close as it is. However, while Bowling Green has been solid ATS as of late and have been tough in conference dating back to last season, the fact is that the Falcons have had issues against Central Michigan for quite some time now and it doesn’t help that the Chippewas are one of the best offensive units in the country, and have scored at least 80 points in each of their 7 games during this winning streak. Bowling Green has hit 80 in 5 of 6 during their hot stretch, but I simply just trust the Chippewas more on offense and given that the line is so low, I’ll lay the bucket with Central Michigan to get the win and cover at home.
