The Northeastern Huskies and the College of Charleston Cougars will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.

The Huskies are 16-9 overall on the season. The Huskies are sitting on a five-game winning streak right now, beating JMU, Hofstra, William & Mary, Elon and UNCW during that stretch.

In the win over the Seahawks, the Huskies’ top scorer was Jordan Roland on 19 points with three rebounds and three assists. Donnell Gresham added 17 points for Northeastern there, and Anthony Green doubled up with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Over on the Charleston side, they’re 20-7 this season. Following a six-game win streak over Elon, William & Mary, JMU, Towson, Delaware and Drexel, the Cougars lost their last game to Hofstra.

In the loss to Hofstra, Charleston’s Grant Riller went off for 43 points, six assists and four rebounds. Jarrell Brantley also had a nice statistical game for the Cougars, logging 25 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall. Northeastern is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 versus the CAA and the over is 5-0 ATS in their last five road games.

Meanwhile, the Cougars are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and the under is 5-1 in their last six home games. The under is 5-2 in Charleston’s last seven Saturday games and 5-2 in their last seven after a straight-up loss.

There’s been a close call or two during Northeastern’s current winning streak, but overall they’re scoring very well (at least 72 points in each of the five games) and winning convincingly.

Charleston has been putting up the points over their last three as well (at least 83 in each), and this could end up a high-scoring affair. It’s probably not a bad spot for the over, and I also like the Huskies to eke into a cover.

Northeastern Huskies +2.5
