Charleston Cougars -13 O/U: 133.5
The Towson Tigers and the College of Charleston Cougars will meet up in college basketball activity Saturday.
Towson stumbles into this matchup at 8-15 on the season. The Tigers have won three of their last four games, falling to Hofstra and taking out Delaware, Northeastern and UNCW during that stretch.
In the win over the Seahawks, Towson’s lead scorer was Brian Fobbs, who doubled up on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Dennis Tunstall, Jordan McNeil and Tobias Howard each managed 11 points for the Tigers in that victory.
Over on the Charleston side, they’re 17-6 this season. After falling in consecutive games to Northeastern and Hofstra, the Cougars have won their last three versus Elon, William & Mary and JMU.
In the win over the Dukes, Grant Riller paced the Cougars with a team-high 24 points and three assists. Jarell Brantley was the only other Charleston player in double-figures there, with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Towson is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS win and 7-17 ATS in their last 24 road games. The Tigers are also 9-23 ATS in their last 32 overall and 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Cougars are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 23-54-2 ATS in their last 79 after an ATS win. The under is 6-0 in the Cougars’ last six after a straight-up win and 5-1 in their last six overall.
The Tigers had some scoring stumbles across a five-game stretch last month, posting 66 points or fewer in four of those games. The good news is that the Tigers have managed at least 75 in two of their last three.
That said, Charleston has been pretty sharp on the scoreboard as well lately, bagging at least 70 in each of their last four outings. With the friendly surroundings and the home lift, I like the Cougars to keep things going here and cover.
