SoCon college basketball action brings us the Samford Bulldogs traveling to the Chattanooga Mocs.

The Samford Bulldogs dropped to 1-4 in the conference after dropping a 76-69 decision at Western Carolina as an eight point road favorite.

Myron Gordon kept Samford  competitive with  21 points, three yanks and four helpers while Robert Allen tossed in 16 points.

Josh Sharkey gave the Bulldogs ten points and five helpers followed by Ruben Guerrero and Brandon Austin with nine and seven points and four boards each.

The Chattanooga Mocs had nothing go favorably in a 96-70 loss at East Tennessee State as a 16 point road dog.

Chattanooga was down 18 points at the break and had no answers with 42.4% shooting unable to compete with the Buccaneers 61% marksmanship.

Donovann Toatley was the Mocs biggest threat with 19 points with Kevin Easley adding 15 points and four pulls.

Chattanooga received 12 points and six rebounds from Ramon Vila followed by Jerry Johnson Jr. and Thomas Smallwood with nine and seven points.

Samford are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games and Sanford  are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall and over is 40-13 in Samford last 53 vs. Southern. Over is 7-2 in Chattanooga last 9 home games and Chattanooga are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall. Over is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings and road team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

Samford looks like the better side but if you like them go small…
