Cincinnati Bearcats -11 O/U: 132.5
The SMU Mustangs and the Cincinnati Bearcats will match up on the college basketball court Saturday.
The Mustangs come into this one at 12-8 on the season. SMU has lost three of their last four games, taking out Tulane and falling to Houston, Memphis and Wichita State in that time.
In the loss to the Shockers, SMU forward Isiaha Mike led the team with 25 points and seven rebounds. Ethan Chargois doubled up for the Mustangs in that one with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Jahmal McMurray added 19 points.
Over on the Cincinnati side, they’re 18-3 this season. The Bearcats have won their last six games, taking out Tulsa, UConn, South Florida, Wichita State, Tulsa and Temple in that stretch of outings.
In the win over the Owls, Cincinnati’s top scorer was Jarron Cumberland, with 25 points, eight rebounds and three assists. The only other Bearcats player in double-figures there was Tre Scott with 13 points and six rebounds.
The Mustangs are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 Saturday games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four road games. SMU is 0-3-1 ATS in their last four overall and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four versus the AAC.
Meanwhile, the Bearcats are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games. The over is 4-0 in Cincinnati’s last four home games and 7-1 in their last eight overall.
SMU had Wichita State down 45-38 at the half but let things slip away from there. The 85-83 finish was a nice scoring effort form the Mustangs however, as they’ve got 168 across their last two outings.
Cincinnati is the better team and will win this game no doubt, but the line is thick enough that I think there’s room for SMU to get in there if they come out firing. The over looks tempting as well.
