The Cincinnati Bearcats and the Wichita State Shockers meet in an AAC tournament semifinal matchup in college basketball action from the FedExForum on Saturday afternoon.

The Cincinnati Bearcats will be looking to advance to their 2nd AAC championship game after emerging victorious with an 82-74 decision over SMU in the quarterfinal. Jarron Cumberland led the Bearcats with 26 points on 10 of 20 shooting with 3 threes and a team-high 8 assists while Tre Scott and Justin Jenifer each had 17 points to round ot the trio of double-digit scorers for Cincinnati in the win. Scott had 12 rebounds for the double-double while Jenifer shot a perfect 6 of 6 from the floor with 5 triples and 4 assists. Cumberland leads Cincinnati in scoring and assists with 18.6 points and 3.7 assists per game while Scott leads the Bearcats on the glass with 6.8 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Cincinnati is averaging 72 points per game on 43.3% shooting from the field, 34.9% from behind the arc and 70.9% from the foul line this season.

The Wichita State Shockers will look to advance to their first conference title game as a member of the AAC after taking down Temple by a final score of 80-74 in their quarterfinal matchup. Markis McDuffie led the Shockers with 34 points on 9 of 19 shooting with 4 threes and a 12 of 13 mark from the foul line along with 12 rebounds, 3 steals and a pair of blocks for the double-double. Dexter Dennis chipped in 19 points with 12 rebounds, a pair of steals and a pair of blocks of his own as the only other double-digit scorer for Wichita State in the winning effort. Jamarius Burton dished out a team-high 5 assists as well in the win. McDuffie leads Wichita State in scoring with 18.3 points per game and Burton leads the Shockers in assists with 3.3 assists per game while Jaime Echenique leads the Shockers in rebounding with 5.8 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Wichita State is averaging 70.9 points per game on 40.8% shooting from the field, 31% from behind the arc and 72.2% from the foul line this season.

Cincinnati is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 conference games. Wichita State is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 22-10-1 in their last 33 conference games.

It's no secret that Cincinnati has played a lot of close games lately and have had issues ATS, so the points are worth a look considering how well the Shockers have played in the tournament. However, Cincinnati is still far and away the better team here and won both games against Wichita State in the regular season by double-digits. I just think this is where Wichita State's run comes to an end, so I'll lay the points with Cincinnati here.

Cincinnati -5.5
